Months after Datuk Henrynus Amin quits from PBS to lead PAKAR another opposition wings in Sabah, another tsunami for PBS when it Youth Chief Datuk Jake Nointin, suddenly announced his resignation from PBS with immediate effect but did not reveal which party he wanted to join.

Nointin, who is widely speculated to join Parti Warisan Sabah led by Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, said that the party had lost its direction under acting president Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.

“The current leadership seems no longer focused on its core principles and original aims, and it’s because of this, I've decided to leave the party,” said Nointin.

The real problem of PBS is Leadership. Party directions no longer for the people but more on personal gained! said by some quarters.

In response to Nointin's departure from PBS, it acting president, Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus reported was saying that PBS still strong despite so many rumours of its leadership failures.

Cabotage Policy for Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan to be reviewed in June 2017

Sabah, Sarawak and the federal territory of Labuan will be exempted from cabotage policy starting June 2017 - by PM Dato Seri Najib Razak on 07 May 2017.

Announcement by PM on the cabotage policy in Sandakan on May 7, 2017 last month was a good news to SABAHAN who about to rule out the current UMNO-BN Lead in SABAH.

In a separate statement, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the decision to exempt Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan from the cabotage policy proved the federal government’s efforts to improve the “liveability” of its people.

The cabotage policy, implemented in the 1980s, required the transshipment of goods to first pass through Port Klang on the west coast of peninsular Malaysia.

Politicians and industry players have largely blamed the cabotage policy for higher prices in Borneo Malaysia compared to peninsular Malaysia and in recent years, have increasingly called for Putrajaya to abolish it.

However, after one month in waiting, there was no sign on the policy had reviewed despite promises and announcement made.
